Logan Lancing is an author, speaker, and researcher, and the founder of itsnotinschools.com. He is best known for his public lectures on Critical Race Theory, Culturally Relevant Pedagogy, and Queer Theory — and for his ability to distill dense academic theory into clear language any parent, board member, or policymaker can understand and act on.

01The work

For years, the people building the theories now practiced in American classrooms couldn't stop writing about their revolutionary intentions. Logan reads what they wrote — the primary sources, in the theorists' own words — and lays out, step by step, what these ideas are, where they came from, and how they reach children in school. It's the discipline behind everything on this site and behind every talk he gives: no hot takes, just the receipts, explained simply.

02The books

Logan is the author of The Queering of the American Child (with James Lindsay; New Discourses, 2024) and The Woke Warpath: How Marxists Use Race and Gender to Break America (2022). He also contributes essays to New Discourses on education, critical theory, and the politics of the classroom.

03The Lancing

He hosts The Lancing, a podcast and Substack that reads the "woke" education literature to reveal the rot at the heart of American schooling — distributed on YouTube, Rumble, Substack, and everywhere you listen.

04On stage

A nationally recognized speaker, Logan has appeared on The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast, The Daily Wire, and EpochTV's American Thought Leaders, and speaks to parent organizations, family-policy councils, school boards, churches, campus groups, and legal teams across the country. Logan is the father of two young sons — which is, in the end, what all of this is about.
